Our approach
A new window into brain disease.
Neuroimmunology — a new window into brain disease
The human immune system responds to biological events and exposures, creating a record of those responses through its antibodies. When the brain is injured, this same mechanism activates — generating an antibody record of the specific brain damage incurred. The adaptive immune response in TBI, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's has been confirmed in peer-reviewed literature and is the foundation of Calysas's approach.

Proprietary targeting of human signal
Calysas's ASCEND-X Platform leverages the proprietary MOSAIC screen to assess patient-derived immune biology, generating a novel, and differentiated, source of therapeutic discovery data. ASCEND-X then integrates this dataset with clinical metadata and a proprietary AI/ML model to rapidly identify novel neuro targets, therapeutic candidates and paired predictive biomarkers.

AI-accelerated drug discovery
Sophisticated, purpose-built AI/ML integrates therapeutic targets and predictive biomarkers to accelerate discovery and guide precision therapeutic development — in dramatically faster delivery cycles.

Built on established scientific foundations
Calysas adapts immune repertoire capabilities previously demonstrated in other therapeutic areas and augments this discovery approach with the novel MOSAIC screen and proprietary AI/ML, enabling accelerated neurological discovery.

Pipeline
The right treatment, the right patient.
A new generation of targeted therapies designed to address the complex biology of neurodegenerative disease. Our development strategy pairs therapeutic candidates with predictive biomarkers, enabling matching of the right treatment to the right patient.
Initial focus
Traumatic Brain Injury
More than 70k Americans die from TBI each year, and millions more live with the debilitating impacts of the disease. Yet no disease modifying therapies exist, with care restricted to symptomatic interventions and support.
Expansion
Broader neurotherapeutics
Therapeutics for neurodegenerative conditions such as CTE, dementias, and parkinsonism.
